With a Spooky Girl Like You: Horror and Video Games

I adore being scared. Not the “ew-blood-and-gore-and-oh-god-are-those-brains-I-can-see-pouring-out” kind of scared, but the “tiptoeing through the dark woods and hearing a noise you can’t identify and holy-crap-maybe-it’s-a-killer-or-a-werewolf-or-a-sparkly-vampire” kind of scared. But alas, I am now in a relationship with someone who is pretty ho-hum when it comes to scary movies, so I don’t really get a [...]

Awesome 80’s Prom….It Really IS Awesome

Awesome 80’s Prom….It Really IS Awesome

Bachelorette and bachelor parties in general make me roll my eyes. In recent years, they’ve gotten so stereotyped and out-of-control elaborate that they can often take away from the actual wedding itself – in my opinion, events such as weekend-long trips to Vegas involving strippers and booze (and penis-shaped paraphernalia for girls) just don’t seem necessary to celebrate the upcoming happiest day in two people’s lives.

Not being a big fan of clubs/bars in general, and not totally sure exactly how an interactive club would work, I wasn’t too sure how the night would pan out.

Although I never minded the actual exercise, I really hated the monotony of the programs. So when Nintendo announced last fall that it [...]

The Lost Art of Mending

One of his shirts was missing three black buttons and another was missing one clear button. I needed a total of four buttons and some black thread, because I was all out.

Disney World: Top 5 Reasons It’s Not Just For Kids Anymore

The personalized mouse ears. The Mickey-shaped ice cream. Meeting Mickey, Minnie and all their friends for the first time.  Everyone remembers some element of their first trip to Disney World, even if their first trip was when they were only 3 or 4 years old.  However a lot of people are of the opinion that [...]

Glasses: A Loving Look at Vision Correction

I cannot fathom being without vision correction for any length of time in which I am not sleeping. My glasses are the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off at night.
